Healwise is on a mission to make mental health support easier to find and afford in the U.S.

We’re a nonprofit, starting with young adults in NYC, helping break down the barriers that keep too many people from getting help.

Our vision: To inspire and empower every American to improve their mental health.
Our story

Mental healthcare is finally having its moment.

If you’ve ever tried to find mental health support, you know how hard it can be.

Long waitlists. Confusing systems. Costs that don’t make sense. It’s no wonder so many people give up before they even begin.

You deserve better and that's why Healwise exists.

Behind Healwise are clinicians, researchers, and advocates who’ve seen the system from the inside and we know it can work better.

Our platform connects young adults to trusted mental health options, from therapy to peer groups, all in one place.

And through our articles and tools, we’re helping people understand how the system works so getting help feels less like a maze and more like a plan.

Because improving your mental health shouldn’t feel impossible, and now, it doesn’t have to be.

We're addressing some of the most prevalent barriers people face when looking for mental health support.

High costs of care

The cost of therapy can feel out of reach for most people. Nearly 40% of people say that cost was a factor in their inability to find care.

We’re building a platform of free and low-cost mental health support, inclusive of therapy and other affordable options.
Find Support

A confusing mental health system

Many people get so lost in the mental health system that they never get the help they need.

Our education hub and platform help uncomplicate the mental health system, making it easier for help-seekers to navigate.

A shortage of mental health professionals

Demand for mental health services far outstrips the number of professionals available to meet it.

We believe that non-therapy services like peer support groups can help address some of the unmet need, while easing the burden on clinicians to compensate for an unfair system.
