Basic Information
The Child Center of NY provides therapy and support to children and families struggling with a range of emotional and social difficulties. They offer culturally sensitive assessment and treatment/counseling services, including individual and group counseling for mental health and/or substance use disorder, random toxicology, anger management, trauma groups, domestic violence services, family counseling, DUI Program and vocational counseling. They also offer medication management and psychiatric evaluations (when applicable), by licensed social workers, psychiatrists, psychologists, and nurse practitioners. They provide licensed Integrated Outpatient Services to adolescents, adults, and loved ones of those struggling with addiction. Lastly, The Child Center of NY serves as the Queens borough-wide provider of the Early Childhood Mental Health Network, a ThriveNYC initiative designed to provide mental health services and supports for families who have young children, ages 0-5, with mental health needs. They have staff who speak two dozen languages who are ready to assist you in the language you speak. When you call the main clinic number (718-358-8288) you can listen to their options in English, Bengali, Chinese, or Spanish for assistance in reaching the services you need; you may leave a message in any language, and they will assist you in that language. Medicaid and many third-party insurance plans are accepted. Fees for individuals without insurance are determined based on family income.

In-person hours: Monday-Thursday: 9 a.m.-8 p.m.; Friday: 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; Saturday: 9 a.m.-3 p.m.; Remote services are available six days a week by appointment.
-Admission criteria: Current or past history of substance use disorder or mental health concerns or being affected by someone else’s substance use. Serves parents whose substance use may be interfering with their ability to provide a safe and nurturing environment for their children.
