Service Description
Violence Intervention Program (VIP)'s mission is to lead Latina victims of domestic violence to safety, empower them to live free of violence and reach and sustain their full potential. VIP operates three community-based programs in Queens, Manhattan, and the Bronx, offering a broad spectrum of services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence, and their children. They provide ongoing safety planning, comprehensive case management and advocacy, and psycho-educational counseling to support survivor self-determination.
VIP delivers individual psycho-educational and crisis counseling, coupled with ongoing safety planning for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Their counselor/advocates are trained to support survivors on their recovery journey from various forms of intimate partner violence, including sexual, emotional, technological, and economic abuse. Our staff are fully bilingual in English and Spanish, and reflect the rich national, ethnic, and racial diversity of the communities we support.
